give me something for the come down
cause i could use a little slow motion.
plus a minute to play catch up.
just a second while this adds up.
you don't have to hold back that much.
i feel it building. all this pressure got me reaching to relieve it,
i hit the curve
and know i wish that i could level out.
you got me so i get the next.
i plant this, sow, come and collect.
i planned this so with all respect i’ll be seeing it through.
i don't know how i got so far.
fist to the face in a front yard.
fanning the flames just to get started.
friends gathering in the fake gardens.
callousness craving to stay hardened. wait
in the shade til a change charges. afraid of a
game that i play pardoned. as if i don’t got
options. as if i earned this godsend. as if – i
learn un-mocked and (floats with the cost,
people we lost, personal loss, everything
gone: that’s it, i tried.) will you recognize my
face next time you see it and when you do i
hope you know that they don't love you like i
love you, they don't see you the way that i
do. they don't know the things that i knew.
Those familiar with death's dynamic shroud know that their ability to mangle and manipulate sound is unrivaled. With the tracking for draag me's emotional album closer, "faster now (it's almost late)," they create a slow build out of orchestral blocks that eventually culminates into pure "nightmare techno."
While they are quite prolific, there are only a few official DDS remixes out there. Doom Trip is pleased to present this rare composition.
"faster now (it's almost late)" originally appears on draag me's LP "lord of the shithouse" (Doom Trip, 2023)
"lord of the shithouse" is out now on Doom Trip Records. Vinyl and cassettes are available. The album, and this remix, are available on all streaming services.

some nice cuts from the Darklife album, very strange, yet amazing, carrying on with the themes of Darklife but with elements of other projects mixed in. TurnsIntoWine
